On 23 August 2025, MHPA collaborated with Moderna in an interactive continuing medical education (CME) session exploring the current landscape of COVID-19, including variant trends, disease burden and strategies to guide our at-risk patient towards timely protection. Our guest speaker, Dr Asok Kurup, expertly navigated through the wealth of emerging data, stressing the burden of cardiovascular morbidity from the disease and the urgent need to reinforce and sustain immunity against COVID-19. Our second guest speaker, Dr Hishamuddin Badaruddin shared his personal experience of the logistical and practical considerations of implementing and providing COVID-19 vaccines to patients in private practice. It was a fruitful session with attendees walking away with renewed vigour and confidence in protecting our patients.
