Hikmah Senja

A collection of advice and stories to age gracefully

Celebrating 20 Years of Care: Our Inaugural Publication

To mark the significant milestone of our 20th anniversary in 2024, the Muslim Healthcare Professionals Association (MHPA) is pleased to announce the release of our first-ever book: a comprehensive guide dedicated to the art of ageing gracefully. This project serves as a tribute to two decades of community service, reflecting our commitment to holistic health and heritage.

A Multidisciplinary Collaboration

This milestone publication was developed by an expert editorial committee, led by Dr. Muhammad Faisal Johandi, Dr. Shariffa Syahidah Chishty, Dr. Nurhidayati Suphan, and Mr. Sahari Bin Ani. In a spirit of true community partnership, they worked alongside a diverse group of medical specialists, nurses, allied health professionals, and community leaders. By blending rigorous medical expertise with relatable personal narratives, the book addresses the practical, physical, and emotional aspects of growing older.

Hikmah Senja serves as a timely resource for our seniors to navigate their golden years, and for the younger ones among us to prepare to age with grace in the future.

Whether you are a caregiver, a family member, or embarking on your own journey into the golden years, this resource offers the tools to navigate the passage of time with renewed strength, wisdom, and dignity.

How to Access the Book

For the benefit of the wider community, we are also proud to share that the book has been cataloged and is accessible to the public through the National Library. This ensures that the collective wisdom of our healthcare professionals remains a lasting and reachable resource for all Singaporeans.
